Well, here we are... August and this is only my fifth blog post for the year. But I just finished watching today's episodes and I wanted to share my thoughts:
...never once has it made me cry. That is, until today.
I watched "The Perfect Pear" this evening, and I can safely say that it was probably the best payoff that any episode in the show's history. From nearly my first day of watching the show, I always wondered what became of Applejack's parents. I read many a fanfiction on the subject, and dreamed up my own ideas on who they were, how they met, etc.
...There's a little Dinky Hooves-centric post-episode flashfic under there! Couldn't resist. Don't worry; it's less spoiler-y than the episode summary.
When I first heard that William Shatner would be playing a pony, I was excited. I thought of all the potential memes, all the humor, all the references, and, of course, the fact that William Shatner, as an actor, is very charismatic, and always fun to watch / listen to.
I should've probably waited on this one a bit more, but I've held it reserve for far too long. There's a new Dueling Keyboards short up based on "The Perfect Pear." Avoid if you still haven't seen it yet. For everyone else, enjoy.
I know this story is old but on Mother’s Day, I’m going to upload my fanfic reading of it and as of now, I found little of people talking about Apple Bond Motherhood. The thing is when I was writing this, it gave me the inspiration of the mother and daughter relationship between Pear Butter and Apple Bloom especially in the sunset paragraphs where Pear talks about her feelings towards Bloom.

Discordant Harmony Well, well, well. Another good Discord related episode? Splendid! Seriously, though, I really liked this episode. The visuals are creative and fun, like the singing ginseng tea, a flying tea pot, a sneezing pinata, and glowing, flying napkins. I also liked the message of the episode as well. Not much to say other than, it was splendid 8/10 Very Good
I don't know about any o' y'all, but I thought that was the best episode in the entire series. Completely blew all other episodes out of the water for me.
If you haven't see The Perfect Pear yet, I HIGHLY recommend you watch it as soon as you can. And be sure to keep some tissues nearby.
